Lunchtime lecture by Dr Mark Baker & Lady Marina Cochrane 'Progress of Gwrych Castle'
Welcoming Dr. Mark Baker and Lady Marina Cochrane, who will present a compelling lecture on the past, present and future of Gwrych Castle, and the connection to the Dundonald and Cochrane families. Guests will gain insight into the preservation work and uncover lesser-known stories of the Dundonald family in North Wales.
The talk will explore the history of the castle and the Dundonald and Cochrane families, highlighting how their legacies are guiding the restoration of this significant heritage site. This event offers a rare opportunity to understand the past and present influences shaping the future of Gwrych Castle.
Arrive for 11am prompt for morning coffee with the talk beginning at 11.15am. The talk will be followed by a two-course luncheon served in the private dining room and will include a glass of wine, finishing with coffee or tea and Bodysgallen fudge.
